Hi all
I am new to the community and EZD3, I’m sure my issues have been answered somewhere, however; I have not been able to find a solution to my entire issue at this stage.
Kit being used:
* Roland UM-ONE mk2 USB to MIDI cable
* Roland TD27 module
* Windows 10 Laptop
The setup I am trying to achieve is, I want my headphones plugged into my TD27 and use EZD3 instead of the TD27 stock sounds. I need my laptop speakers or if I change my setup, external speakers to play songs and other things while i practise.
Some background notes
* Roland UM-ONE drivers are installed (Module is set to COMP)
* Roland drivers for my module are installed
* MIDI Local Control is turned OFF
* Driver Mode = Vendor
* TD27 Software Version 2.0
* EZD software is not detecting my TD27 as an audio interface and I can only use my laptop speakers or None
I have followed other commenters (cannot remember which posts as I was browsing on my mobile at the time) about similar issues they’ve had but nothing has worked. I have tried reinstalling drivers on the laptop and the module but nothing has changed. It seems that some people with the same setup as mine, EZD3 detects their module as an audio interface but mine is not.
A separate question, when I could hear EZD3 through headphones (connected to laptop headphone jack) there was a bit of a delay even at the lowest latency option.
Which external audio interfaces are recommended without spending many hundreds so that I can process faster and have much less latency.
I cannot think of anything else to add that would help make the issue clearer for the reader.
Thanks
Hi – what worked for me was:-
Do the grooves play through the laptop speakers. If so, settings – – > audio/midi setup – – > output – – > your interface.
Try setting the buffer size in the same dialog box to 144 samples. That might help with the time lag.
I have tried re-installing drivers for my TD27 and for the UM-ONE cable and nothing is working. EZD3 is not recognizing the TD27 as an audio interface. I thought the MIDI-USB cable would sort this out but now that feels like a waste of $$. I’m sure something here can be fixed to work but I am out of ideas at this stage. Might be best to find an audio interface and just plug in through that so that I can have better processing as it is.
