Do you have some kind of “refresh” button in the settings in Studio One 3, where you set the path to VST plug-ins?
If you launch the EZdrummer 2 standalone application, you can see exactly where the VST plug-in resides. Does this path match the plug-in search path in Studio One 3?

So John – you are saying that EZD2 has to be running before Studio One 3 Pro is launched? Before Studio One can see the VST file correctly (without EZD2 activated)?

Thanks. Just trying to clarify. I’m having the same problem.

    Hi Mark,

making sure the Standalone is running properly before troubleshooting the plugin is step one.
As I wrote above, you can go to the Help Menu and click ‘Show Plug-In Path’ to check where the VST is located. When you know the path to the VST, you can check that this path is included in Studio One’s VST search preferences.

John- that fixed my problem. Next question. My version of Studio One 2 Pro was using EZD ver 1. If I path the VST to the same .dll file will EZD2 work in place of the old version?
Thank you again for all your help!

John- next question… (sorry now I’m having fun again..) I have a Novation Launch Key 61 and before it was easy to play EZD2 from the pads on the Launch Key. Now it seems not so easy. I have two setups for it in Studio One 3 Pro 1) setup as a keyboard controller 2) as Mackie HUI (see attachment.) Maybe you can look at it and see if I’m doing something wrong or there is something else I need to do.

Thank you for all your help! With success of this it will push me toward Superior Drummer. But I’ve got to be able to know that I can use pads on the Launch Key for clients (as well for my own songwriting.)

    Best regards,

John- I figured out what my problem was. I didn’t have anything selected in EZD2 as far as MIDI controllers go. Now I’ll have to play with a sample sound, setting EZD2 to output on different channels and triggering the tracks from EZD2.

Thank you again for the support.

I’ve always gotten great support from Toontrack!
