I am just new to recording. I bought ezdrummer 2 with two kits modern and vintage. I have set it up with my daw with multiple outputs. The ezdrummer 2 mixer has all toms for modern (3 racktoms and two floor toms) in just one output. How do I get the toms from ezdrummer 2 in my daw to have an output for each tom so in the mix I can pan toms?
Hi,
the 5 toms cannot be individually routed to separate outputs in EZdrummer 2.
They ‘Toms’ output is a Stereo Output where the Toms are panned as recorded.

Thanks for the answer, it doesn’t help. Is there a work around? I want to pan my toms to get realistic mix. So I have no control to pan the toms, for example I want my rack toms only on the left and the floor toms only on the right. Surely there must be some way to do that, or have I just wasted my money.

Thanked by: Lamar LittleA workaround is record the toms one at a time, then you’ll get one wave file for each tom which you can pan to you likings.

In your DAW, you should be able to “explode pitches to tracks”, then you can change panning, volume, and effects for each track/note/tom. Although, I do agree there should be more control on the mixer for EZDrums. On my Modern set, with 5 toms, I don’t need mixer outputs for Shaker, Tambourine, or effects that I won’t use.
