Hey guys,
I really like my EZDrummer 2 but in some cases I find it hard to find a groove to fit a certain riff. It’s really hard to program the midi the way I want it in EZDrummer. So I’m thinking maybe if I get superior drummer that maybe I can drag my midi from EZDrummer to superior drummer? After doing that, if it is possible, I can pencil in midi on superior drummer right? Trying to find out for sure before I spend the cash. TIA!
If by DAW you mean something like protools then yes I have it. So I can drag midi from EZDrummer into protools to tweak? Sorry I’m a noob.

I am sure that’s what user onewayout meant.
You can drag MIDI from the EZdrummer 2 plugin to the Pro Tools Instrument Track to edit and add notes. If you wish the MIDI to return to your EZdrummer 2 Song Track, you can record it back from the Pro Tools Timeline to the plugin’s Song Track – Pro Tools does not allow dragging MIDI back to the plugin.
BTW, if you work with EZdrummer 2 and Pro Tools, you should be using the Pro Tools plugin and not the standalone.
Being a long time Pro Tools user myself, I do still find that most of my fine-tuning and editing works best in Superior Drummer 3. So if you really are considering the upgrade, I don’t think you would be disappointed but I recommend you check out all videos over at the Toontrack YouTube channel before purchasing.
If you upgrade, you do not need to use EZdrummer 2, all sounds and MIDI will show up inside SD3.
BR,
John
