I’m seriously about to snap my laptop in half out of frustration with this so called “easy to install” EZdrummer. I’m running an Alienware M15x laptop, using Windows 7, 64bit. It’s got 6GB RAM and an i7 Quad Processor. More than enough to run this software.
Everything I’ve installed has been installed into the default directories (I haven’t changed anything). I’ve installed EZdrummer 64bit, then I installed the 32-bit update, followed by the 64-bit update. I’ve installed Toontrack Solo and I’m using the most current version of that, as well as the most current version of Sonar x1 Studio.
When I open EZdrummer in Toontrack Solo, it works fine and shows that I’m using version 1.2.1. When I load EZdrummer through Sonar x1 Studio, the EZdrummer interface opens up, but in the little meter on the bottom right where it normally shows the samples loading (in MBs), it stays at zero and the samples never load. (I’ve tried to insert a screenshot below) It again shows that I’m using version 1.2.1. I can scroll through the grooves but none of them make any sounds (because they aren’t loading).
I’m getting sick of this. I’ve had this software for 4 days now and still have not been able to use it because I keep running into issue after issue, and as we all know, there is no customer support number to call for help. Considering how many issues I’ve seen on this forum, I understand why they don’t have a phone number because this is apparently not as “easy” as they claim to use.
Can anyone tell me what the heck I’ve got to do to get EZdrummer to load correctly in Sonar x1 Studio? So far, this has hands down been the biggest waste of money I’ve ever encountered with software.
I’ve figured this out. But now I’m having a new problem (made a new post, can’t drag and drop grooves from EZD to Sonar).
I haven’t been able to get EZ Drummer to be recognized as an available soft synth. Where did you find a 64-bit version? I can’t get it stop stop installing in the Programs Files (x86) directory, and even if I add that directory to the VST path settings in Sonar, it won’t recognize it in the soft synth instruments list.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
