Perhaps I updated my laptop too soon, but garageband does not recognize the ezdrummer plugin in MacOS Big Sur. Not sure if anyone has had this issues or found a way to fix or workaround.

EZdrummer version: 1.4.0
EZDrummer 1.4.0? I have a development image running Big Sur, a lot software is yet to be compatible and if running at all (or can be installed) is unstable. If you updated your primary host to Big Sur (Beta) you might want to revert back to something in general release.
Just out of curiosity what did you upgrade to Big Sur from?

A system restart sorted the problem out 🙂
