Can you please fill in your system specs on your Member Profile page? Please include your OS and whether it is a 32-bit or 64-bit variety.

    In addition, see this FAQ:

    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8700 @ 2.53 GHz, 1.95 GB RAM

I have just tried to install EZ Drummer lite onto my PC after initially running it on a Mac, and i’m having exactly the same problem, with exactly the same error codes. I’ve gone through the recommended steps as suggested in this post and still can’t get the self-extractor to work properly. Has anyone come up with a solution to this issue?

    Please help! Thanks.

Same problem here: error 1308 on missing files.
The problem occurs for a simple reason: the missing files are not there in the install directory.

So please Toontrack: fix the problem!

I’ve bought an Alesis Trigger I/O with EZDrummer lite and I would like to use it

Are installing from a disc or from the download from your Toontrack account? Did you read the link to the FAQ that I posted above?

    Hi Scott!

I’ve used the version downloaded from Toontrack site (no disk supplied with the Alesis Trigger I/O).
I’ve read the FAQ but I managed to found the problem by myself (feel free to update the FAQs with these infos):

    – Windows XP (SP2 + the update suggested in the FAQ) is unable to successfully uncompress the zip file dowloaded from Toontrack: all the files in the paths with the “@” character can’t be uncompressed (result: empty midi files folders).

    – I’ve tried with Winrar: it fails to uncompress a lot of midi files

    – In the end I successfully uncompressed the archive with Izarc (only 2 “dummy” and 1 “midi” file missing).

The problem is related with the software used to uncompress the archive and the “@” character used in the paths.

Hope this can be of some help 😉

Now the software is installed and running fine!

    Cheers,
    Max

My studio computer is an XP SP2 computer and don’t have a problem with the install process. I could be because I’ve installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 package from the FAQ. It could also be the reason that XP SP3 is the minimum system requirement.

Regarding empty MIDI folders. This is expected as some of the folder are placeholders and include no content.

As said before my PC is XP SP2 too and I’ve installed the Visual C++ as suggested by the FAQ.

No I was talking about the folders which should contain the files that fails to uncompress using the defauld Windows zip folder option (or winrar).

BTW, now is working. I thought the informations provided cuold be of any help since the net is full of people with the same problem (and no, the info in the FAQ do NOT solve the problem for me or for anybody else ;))

    Cheers

So, you use an OS (XP SP2) that doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements and are surprised it doesn’t work out of box? I’m glad it’s working for you but to infer that it’s broken somehow and Toontrack should ‘fix the problem!’ seems flawed somehow.

Usually the minimum system requirements are for the software itself not for the archive!
    Anyway, I don’t care at all…

Bad customer support ever. You can’t figure out how to solve a simple problem like this (related with zip archive specifications) and suggest people to install a C++ update LOL 😀

I produce software myself and I work for other companies as beta tester and believe me your answers to simple problems like these are ridiculous!

Hope the other people with the same problem will follow my advice.

    Bye bye Toontrack

    Hi, guys!
I have the same problem with the extraction of the program file. IZArc 4.1.6 didn’t help neither. Is there another chance to get it installed?

@Drummer2011: Maybe you don’t have the minimum system specifications like me! LOL

I’m running Windows 7 64 bit on an Acer Aspire 6930G (Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 2.13 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, plenty of space on the hard drive.

I’m having trouble with install as well, the midi ‘dummy’ doesn’t seem to like it. Program loads, but half the what I would call “essential” kit pieces are missing, e.g. all I have on a kit are kick, snare, ride, floor tom.

Is this normally all you get with the Lite version sent with Alesis DM8 pro?

Hi Guys…ok well I am finding I have the same problem and cannot install from the extracted zip file I downloaded. I get error code 1309. I read this thread and the links in it and still I get the error code. I probably missed something as I am not very PC literate compared to some of you it seems.
I have XP pentium 4 and it has sp3
I right clicked on the zip file used extract all and the error code comes up about half way through the install…any help appreciated.
    Cheers
