Ok so ever since I downloaded the update 2.1.0 for my 64 bit version of EZDRummer 2 it crashes my DAW every time I try and load another song. I tried uninstalling the update and that didn’t work. So I need some help here please. I’m using 64 bit Reaper With Windows 7 (64 bit) and EZdrummer 2 with the 2.1.0 update. Any help will do, thank you.

Any idea an on a time frame on when we may have a fix? I know it’s a lot of crazy stuff you’re working with, and it takes time to find the bugs. Thanks!

I’ve attached two dump files: The first one and the last one. Both are binary so no good for us mortals. btw, located at:
C:UsersyourusernameAppDataLocalTempEZdrummerPlease give line by line instructions for a complete reinstall. Some of us only have the EZD2 upgrade which I think forces us to reinstall EZD1 first? Then the midi packs and EXP’s to add. This is really bad news!
Thanks for the uploads! A hotfix for this bug will be released shortly. Let’s hope that you other guys are experiencing the same bug.
Appreciate the help!

I accidently posted as a new topic but here is my findings on the issue
Success! I think…
After carefully looking at which Reaper files were crashing, I found they were ones that I’d used EZDrummer 1 on. I had since bought the Upgrade to 2.0 but not updated those files. When I upgraded my 2.0 to 2.1 last week – crashes on those old files began.
So… I found and downloaded the upgrade for EZDrummer 1 which is the TT106_EZdrummer_WIN_140.zip file. Now those files seem to be working without crashing. One file crashed after updating with it. But I then restarted Reaper and it works ok now.
But still there is the lingering issue of upgrading the Pop/Rock EZX file as it says the existing install is corrupt (TT288_EZX_PopRock_WIN_152.zip). I think I’ve read that when we upgraded to EZD2, Pop/Rock was converted to an EZX product to be updated.
But for now my existing files seem to be working. Not warm an fuzzy but working. Anyone else try this and see?

Scratch my last post…
After trying the same files again, they crash – but not always. But when I reopen them, they work. Still thinking it has something to do with the Pop/Rock midi data. It seems to be the ones that are crashing so far.
The Pop/Rock EZX was never meant to exist in the EZD1 environment. That EZX is the same sounds as the original EZD1 so, theoretically, the Pop/Rock EZX would only work properly in the EZD2 world. I’m not sure what would happen if a user had ezd2 installed with the Pop/Rock EZX also installed and then downgraded to ezd1.
Just posting that as an idea than anything else.

Yeah this all happened to me when I downloaded the oddtime signature midi pack, and did the update. I’ve never had EZdrummer 1
I have the same problem with you guys sometimes when i open a session in Pro Tools EZdrummer crash. Ihave to close the PT program and when i reopen the PT and the same session eberything works fine.

Thanks for the hard work! I will try tonight when I get home. I live in Miami FL so it’s 2:30 pm here right now, and I don’t get home until 11:00 pm.
Again, thanks, and have a great day/night!
OK guys, I’ve tried everything, and everything seems to be working fine on my end.. Went through all my songs with drum tracks and loaded each one up, one by one.. So far nothing has crashed! I will continue to test as well, and will report back, in this thread, if I run into any trouble! Thanks for the help guys! Great product you guys have, for a person that doesn’t have a drummer, or a place to play them! Cheers!
Even after updating to version 2.1.1 I’m still getting a crash. I’m using Cubase 5. The crash that comes up tells me where the dump file is but I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find it. I’ve tried to find on Windows 7 where to click on show the hidden files and I can’t. ??? Frustrating.
When I typed the address that ezdrummer crash gives me for the dump file it says it can’t find it. So confused.

Have you ever moved the EZdrummer.dll file manually? If so, it’s possible that Cubase is using the old version. Can you see the EZdrummer window and what version it says in the lower right corner? Finally, could you try the EZdrummer standalone program and see if that also crashes?

Could you tell us a little more in detail about that crash?
