I have an Alesis DM6 edrum.
I cannot get it to play ezdrummer in Protools 10. It plays fine in standalone Toontrack solo.
Only my midikeyboard can play Ezdrummer in Protools 10.
I sense a conflict in midi settings in my protools, or there is a button in the Ezdrummer window that I am overlooking to allocate my edrums specifically to Ezdrummer in Protools 10.
How can I change/resolve this? Help on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
First make sure you can see what input device(s) is/are configured for the Stereo Instrument Track you have EZDrummer inserted on by insuring you can view instrument inputs. View > Mix Window > Instruments.
At the top of the stereo Instrument Track that EZDrummer is inserted on it, make sure the input is set to “All” or your Alesis DM6.

For some reason, it is still not getting a signal from my Alesis DM6. However, it works outside of Pro-tools. I was able to channel all the drums on separate tracks, but it only works when I use a mouse to click on the drums in Ezdrummer, but no signal from my physical Alesis DM6 is being sent/detected in protools. I used the settings you described above, which is hte same as Toontrack’s settings in their tutorial on youtube. Is there a particular channel I have to use in protools to get my ALesis DM6 detected?
I got it to work. I disconnected my Mikro Maschine controller, and I set my Alesis DM6 drum set to channel 10. Thanks for your help in all this. Thank you.
Glad you got it work…!
