Hi;
I use EZDrummer in Samplitude MS 14. If I use a preset pattern and I want to edit it to my liking I cannot see the “hits” on the editor very well. They show up as very dim light blue marks on the grid. I must zoom in real close to even begin to get a visual on the marks and even fully zoomed I have to strain my eyes to see them. They are also very thin no matter how long the duration of the note and as such, I cannot easily grasp them with the cursor to move or delete them to edit. I should also add that EZDrummer is the only program I use that has this issue. All other programs create a much larger mark, easier to see and edit.
Wondering if anybody can help me with this issue to make the marks easier to see and move.
Thanks!
John B.
Well,
my first thought was that you are used to longer note durations but since you write that it does not matter it must be something peculiar to your DAW. I’m not a Samplitude user myself but one guess, regarding the “thin” state, that the stock MIDI you’re using has got its notes spread out over the octaves and Samplitude is zooming out vertically to display them, thus making them “thinner”. Can you zoom vertically only?
Does Samplitude display note colors after velocity? Can it be the Toontrack MIDI has more dynamics than your other MIDI?

I had this in cubase too. It’s just that the hits are (in non midi speak) quick. No sustain.
If you zoom out the downside is you get bigger “notes” but only 1 bar on the screen.
So this is what i did.
I highlight the whole segment (how many bars you have) with the cursor then go into the Midi edit page and increase note length . Sorted.
Mostly we are dragging one or two bar sections out of EZDrmr ontothe arrange page so just do it when you do that. That way any duplication of the bar will have the longer notes.
Hope that helps.
