I have a cubase 10.5 and lately when i use my roland vdrums and connect it to my ezdrummer via usb\midi Cubase crashes after a short time and it says ” a serious problem has occurred: please try to save your project under another name and then restart Cubase 10.5.exe. if this problem persists please contact steinberg technical support etc..”
after looking for answers online i understood the problem might lie in specific plugins and since it only happens when i use ezdrummer i thought it might be it.
I’ve attached the crashdump files that follows the problem and hope someone from Toontrack can help me solve the problem.
As for right now i cant use EZdrummer
The first thing I’d do it update your EZD2 (if you are running 2.1.8) to the latest version via the Toontrack Product Manager to see if that fixes the crashes. Report back the results.

I have forwarded this thread to Toontrack support. I’ll let you know what they have to say unless they reply here directly.

Hi,
I have examined the crash dumps. Nothing in them is indicating that EZdrummer was the cause. One crash was in Cubase code, the other in a system call and it cannot be seen from where it was called. If it crashes in EZdrummer, normally a dialog opens where it says that a dump file containing EZdrummer in the name has been saved at a certain location.
I would recommend that you contact Steinberg.

I will thank you. but how can you explain those crashes happening even when im not using EZdrummer through a DAW? even when ive opened it alone it has crashes that freezes the application and make me end it in the task manager
Then I would like to see a dump file from the standalone. If it freezes, you can create a dump file for it in Task Manager. Does this also only happen when you connect the e-drums?
