EZDrummer: closed hi hat volume

Just got EZ Drummer for my Alesis Command.

It’s great except for one issue: when playing the closed hi hat, the volume is significantly lower than the rest of the kit. The partial and open hi hat have the proper volume.

Has anyone run into this issue?

With EZ you need to manipulate the incoming midi to get what you want here. Unlike Superior. In this case I would go to the drum module and try to adjust the settings there, though I’m not too familiar with the one you have.

And try this first:
To edit a voice: 1. Press Kit to enter the Kit Selection page (if you are not already viewing it). 2. Press Menu to enter the Kit Menu. 3. Use the Down and Up buttons to select Voice, and then press Enter. 4. Hit the pad whose voice you want to edit. The pad’s name will appear at the top of the display. Alternatively, use the dial or Left () and Right () buttons. 5. The display will show the pad’s current voice and its parameters. On this page: • To select a parameter you want to edit, use the Down and Up buttons: o Voice Name: The pad’s current voice. o Volume: The pad’s volume (00–16).

EZ Drummer 2 – Hihat Engine FIX

One feature of the EZDr2 hihat fix is the

Articulation level fix: I’ve increased the audio level of the following stages/articulations :

“TIGHT Bow” + “Closed Bow” and “OPEN 3” + “OPEN 4 + of course: “CLOSED Pedal”

( I want the TIGHT and CLOSED Bow + the “Chick” articulations not to sound weak and I want the wide open sounds to be more explosive.
In other words: these articulations shall cut through the mix a little more. Altering single stage/articulation audio level is NOT possible in EZ Drummer 2 by default regarding the Variable CC Hihat! This is also a strong benefit of my EzDrummer hihat FIX !)

…BTW, you can also have a boost on “Tight Edge” and/or “Closed Edge”
