Hi, I’m completely new to the whole concept of the computerized drum kits. I have an Alesis DM10X kit, and right at this second, the only thing I’m really interested in is recording from there, and having control over the various kit sounds. I read the FAQ on EZDrummer 2 vs. Superior Drummer, but I couldn’t tell if in terms of the VSTs (I use Reaper as my DAW), what the difference was between the two of them. I downloaded the demo for EZDrummer and really like it, but since I’m ready to make a purchase, I’d like to find out the differences I’m interested in. Is there a significant amount of difference between the VSTs in each, and the ability to control various sounds? One issue I had in EZDrummer is that it didn’t record my rim shot, so I need to fix that, but not sure if that’s possible in EZ.
