Hi, I have a problem using EZdrummer, EzKey and EZbass. I use LOGIC PRO X DAW. let’s take the example of EZdrummer 2 : when I found the midi sequence that interests me and I want to drag and drop it into the LOGIC PRO drums track, I tell it not to import the tempo data because in EZdrums the original sequence is set at 94 bpm while my song is at 120 bpm. Although I set the playback speed of EZdrums to the same tempo as my song, after exporting to the logic track, I have to resize the sequence each time in Logic. However I have indicated in EZDRUMS the tempo of 120! Moreover, when reading the sequence in EZdrums, I activate the function “follow the Host” but it does not work! indeed the music of my DAW and the logic sequence does not synchronize while the tempo of EZdrums and logic are the same! I must surely have forgotten to do something! could you help me ? thank you in advance
Hi,
I am sorry but there simply is no way I can reproduce any of your problems in Logic Pro 10.15.1, OS 10.15.5 and EZdrummer 2.1.8.
Would it be possible for you to record the screen while you experience these things?

thank you for your interest in my problem but I found the solution this afternoon! in fact my song was simply in 4/4 and the sequences in EZdrummer in 5/4.
Best regards

That’ll do it. It does have me wondering by the rest of the post, regarding Follow Host, if you are using EZD as standalone, rather than as an instrument plug-in within Logic.

Hi Jord, I use it like plugins. I use EZD, EZK and EZB like plugins in logic Pro. I Use a MacBook pro 13″. I just started with these 3 plugins. I still quibble a lot. I can’t find YouTube videos in French and English is difficult for me.
i learned a lot from this thread. Thanks guys.
I do have a question though (or two)…….
As a general rule, should i import the Ez Drummer 2 track tempo into Logic Pro X? Or should i just say NO as i have been.
Keep in mind, when i say “as i have been”, I’ve only started using Ez Drummer 2 into Logic as a software plugin so I’m pretty inexperienced.
Hi,
in general, I’d say you are doing it right. Should you have a song that you have built in EZdrummer 2 Standalone and then start a project and drag-and-drop import this song to Logic, then it would make sense to Import the Tempo.
If you have the Tempo set as you want it in Logic and then Import Tempo from dragged files from e.g. the EZdrummer 2 Browser, Logic will switch Tempo with every dropped MIDI file.

John
