Yep. I’ve installed it correctly and scanned and reinstalled a few times thinking that I might have missed something, but the plug is not working. Like I said I’ve also tried bridging the 32 bit plugin using jbridge, and it does install, but no sound samples load. All my other plugs work fine.

I don’t expect bridging the 32-bit version to work at all.

    I will ask my colleagues.

    Ok.

So I’ve conferred with my colleagues. Here is their take.

    – base product dll (32-bit) is installed to chosen path

    – (64-bit) update attempts to use the same path where it finds a dll with same name and same version (they have the same exact version in the file system).

in that scenario – a component already exist, and it cannot be determined that it is safe or desirable to overwrite – then nothing happens, i.e the 64-bit dll will not replace the 32-bit dll.

The solution would be to manually delete the dll, then run the 64-bit update. Note that it might not be sufficient to just re-run the update (i.e repair mode), and it may be necessary to uninstall the 64-bit update (not the full product). The key aspect here is that the update shouldn’t find an EZdrummer.dll, well at least not with the exact same version in the file system (whether it is the same arch is irrelevant).

So, uninstall the 64-bit update from Programs and Features in the Windows 10 Control Panel and make sure the ezdrummer.dll is deleted from your 64-bit plugin folder. If it didn’t get deleted, manually delete it. Run the 6 64-bit update again.

    Report back.

Hi, I did what was asked and it’s still not working. I even uninstalled the 64 bit plug and tried just using the 32 bit update instead. The funny thing is, even though I deleted the.dll of the program, the 64 bit update still shows as a 32 bit plug when that replaces it.

do a Windows search and manually delete all ezdrummer.dll files that are there. Then try running the 64-bit update only.

SUCCESS!!!!! That did the trick. So if needed at a later date I should install the 32 bit program normally, Then manually delete all it’s .dll files and then run the 64 bit update. Thanks alot Scott, you’ve been great. Now I can get back to using my daw. Very happy now. ????

    Cheers ?
    Matt
