Recent upgrade to EZD3 from EZD2 has an annoying anomaly not present in EZD2.
Configured for multiple mono outputs in Cubase, everything is working as should, but when I name track #1 to “Kick In”, the VST Instrument (EZD3) name also changes to same. Vice versa…change the name of VST Instrument, and track #1 changes to same.
Anyone else having this problem?
To me that appears to be a DAW issue not EZD3 problem. Perhaps you should point that out to Steinberg developers as it might be an update glitch which they are not aware off yet.

Update:
After posting on the Cubase forum, it appears that it is indeed a Cubase issue and one that folks find annoying.
So to all Cubase users; If using EZDrummer 2/3 in Cubase with multiple channel outputs (mono or stereo), channel #1 output will always show both the track name and instrument output, regardless if it is a VST track or Instrument Track.
Solution? I start all my EZDrummer multiple outputs on the mixer with Channel #2
