So I purchased the bundle of EZdrummer 2 that came with the EZD3 upgrade, a couple days before the release. I doubt that has anything to do with it, but figured I’d mention it. So I downloaded EZD3 last night. The standalone works fine, but it’s not showing up in Reaper at all. I tried adding other VST paths in Reaper where EZD3 was in my windows 10 explorer, but it just wouldn’t work. The only item in my toontrack folder in the DAW was just EZD2 listed as just EZdrummer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling EZD3 and that didn’t work either. It also never gave me a download path. Just simply installed. When looking at the about in the standalone version of EZD3, it just lists the standalone version along with my sound libraries. Whereas, when I do that in the standalone of EZD2 (listed as EZdrummer (64)) it lists the plugin version, as well as the standalone and sound libraries. Has anyone else run into this problem and know how to fix it? It’s honestly hair pulling for me right now.
Never mind, support got back to me! Luckily I just didn’t have the plug-in path for it listed in Reaper. So if you’re having the same issue, the plug-in path is detailed here. https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/115000177084-VST-plug-in-locations-on-Windows
I just used this path from the help center, C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
Add that to your Reaper plug-ins path list and you should be golden. Big sigh of relief lol.
