EzDrummer 3: how to prevent grooves automatically joining in the song track?

Hi guys. when I use the scissors tool and cut up a groove (for example, to substitute a fill), after tweaking the drum hits on the Grid Editor view,  EZ3 ends up re-joining that region with the one on the right, and even changes its color. This is very bothersome, as I have to cut it up again, change the color, etc.

Is there any way to prevent this? Am I doing something wrong?

Operating system: macOS Mojave (10.14)

Hi, the only thing I can think of is that you have Humanize on for the hits that are before the Beat and the Humanize moves the hits after the Beat.

Thanks for your answer, John. What I usually do is I humanize the whole groove first (Cmd+A, then Humanize) and then cut up the region in the exact bar. Indeed maybe some hits remain behind the cut, while they may actually belong after the cut. But I don’t really move these around manually. Maybe moving around or re-humanizing other hits may possibly re-adjust these hits?
