Hey Everyone,
i’m running EZD3 with my TD17 and everything is perfect except i can’t seem to get proper hihat volumes when they’re closed. compared to the open hihat volume (and the rest of the kit) , it’s really too low. is there any way to bring up the volume of just closed hihats (on the bow) without bringing up the volume of the open ones even more? My trigger settings are good in my module all triggering at 127. Any advice anyone?
thanks!
It’s behaving like a shut hat. Shut hats in drum kits are always quieter than open. You could change the volume of each hit in the midi piano roll.
Hey Mick,
thanks for the answer but im using EZD3 as a standalone running through a pair of PA speakers. I have an acoustic kit as well and yes volumes of closed hats are always quitter than open however the volume is really low. I actually hear the physical hit of my stick hitting the rubber cymbal much louder than the sound coming out of the PA. This doesn’t occur when i play other cymbals or even the rim of the hi hat closed. At the bottom right of EZD3,the output meter of the bow on closed hi hats barely gives a 20% output when others like toms, cymbals give about 80% output. Am i missing something here?
Hi David,
individual control of articulation volume is not available in EZdrummer 3, as it is in Superior Drummer 3.
The hits have all been recorded in context with the rest of the kit.

John
