I do all of my EZD editing in Studio One. Try that. I preview grooves in the EZD window and sometimes use Bandmate, but that’s all.

Hi, I do that when using EZD3 now, But I like having the options to go back and edit and have my song parts inside ezd3 projects in my DAW if I need to go back and edit something. It’s not a huge deal, but I would think the feature that is in all the toontrack products grid editors would function the same as it does in ezbass and ezkeys 2.

I’ve given you a fuller answer back in Facebook. It might be the fix you need.

I see what you mean, it seems a little inconsistent, I can use some edit shortcuts Cmd/C Cmd/V, copy paste seem to work. But ones like zoom in/out interact with Studio One.

Hi, I basically want to use the moving of notes and selections shortcuts. I checked my other toontrack programs ezbass and ezkeys 2 and the keyboard shortcuts are not working either. Those actually have a menu item to do what i need, ezd3 doesn’t have the note moving menu in it that i can find.

Isn’t there a preference in your DAW to allow key commands to pass through? I would imagine that there is.

If it is, I have never seen it.

in Cakewalk, the plugin has a keyboard icon on the upper right which allows to send only keystrokes to the plugin (or not – the default). this way if your plugin has hot keys which mimic the DAW, you can simply click to enable it and then all your hots for the plugin will be only for the plugin. just need to remember to turn it off when you’re done 🙂

it may be your DAW has something similar on the plugin UI or specific instance settings.

Yeah, I’m a long time cakewalk user since 1997. I moved over to Studio one about 4 years ago. I still use Cakewalk sometimes. I have not found a setting for that yet.

Just to clarify, do you have Enable Keyboard shortcuts in DAW enabled?

(I accidentally enclosed the SD3 shot for another post, but EZD is pretty much the same)

I’m testing in Logic and everything works fine here (sorry not a Studio One user).

Yeah, I have that selected. My DAW Studio one 6.52 Won’t recognize my keyboard shortcuts. It ignores what plugin is up and in focus

Ok, Studio one 6 is my DAW and for some reason I can’t get the keyboard shortcuts to work in EZdrummer 3 grid editor. Works fine in standalone. All the other Toontrack products i own like Ezkeys2 and ezbass grid editors work as expected in my DAW. The issue seems to be The EzD3 window is not in focus when it’s selected and the keyboard shortcuts are applying to Studio one instead. EZD3 has an option to turn on Keyboard shortcuts and it’s on. Any help would be appreciated.
