Using the grid editor.
Create a pattern of accents and shakes in either the shaker or tambourine lines (after clicking the double down arrows so you can see both lines).
Then highlight the pattern, copy and paste it to another bar,
the notes all end up on the same line and you lose your pattern!
It works OK in snare, HiHat etc.
Another “feature” that I’ve discovered: If you have 2 instances of EZ3 open in your DAW (Cubase 12), then you cannot copy and paste notes from one to the other.
My piece has 2 virtual drummers playing, one panned to the left one panned to the right.
I decided to add a tambourine part, but then wanted to pan it from one side of the mix to the other, (I can’t do it with the EZD3 mixer as I had already panned each EZD3 instance to the left and right in Cubase.)
I tried to copy the notes from one EZD3 instance to the other, but it doesn’t work.
Its over a year later and this pasting bug for the shaker still exists. Very annoying. I thought I was going crazy til I found this post.
This may more or less be a factor of how future hits are handled. They are different than regular kit pieces. It’s quite possible that the MIDI in those lanes are treated just as differently. TT would have to further elaborate on how this functions.
