Have you tried going through the browser first, in a new or freshly opened song?

I’m not 100% on what you mean when you say going through the browser first sorry, do you mean the browser in ezd3 or ableton?

You said it first ‘However when I then try to add the same clips via browsing my clips folder … .’

Oh true I did, my bad. That’s actually a good suggestion I hadn’t tried that. I will give it a go and update you how it goes

Sorry for not getting back sooner but I have been away and haven’t had a chance to try this until the past couple of days. Your suggestion did work and just dragging the clips seems to fix the issue, but it is a time consuming process as you have to cross-reference exact clip titles in their original form (as in you can’t just rename a clip and find it quickly that way). It is effective though so appreciate the help. Another user having the same issue seems to have found a quicker albeit still slightly annoying workaround that I’ll repost here in case others have the same issue

So here what’s user VRN said in a reply to his post where he was having the same issues

“TT basically says “it’s Live’s fault”, which seems plausible, yet not particularly satisfactory. The only workaround (apart from exporting) I’ve found so far is to close the project after recording your clips in Live and reopen the project. Then they can be “dropped”, but that is not a practical workflow. For whatever reason there seems to be something “temporary” about the freshly recorded clips in Live, which the TT plugins do not like. Please help me to nag Ableton (and TT 😉 on the matter, so the issue can be resolved. This way, they have little value for me.”

He posted yesterday with an update on how to get around this..

‘I have some last minute breaking news, i.e. if I do the following:

    1) Record a clip
    2) Go to the clip view
    3) Right-click on the clip link and select “manage sample file”
    4) In the list of clips select “edit” (the clip goes offline)
    5) Immediately de-select “edit” again (the clip is back online)

Then the clip can be dragged into EZdrummer!

It is still (too) cumbersome, but it is much better than any of the other workarounds so far.’

Hope this can help anyone dealing with the same headache (:

I’m new to ezdrummer. Please do tell what the better workaround is.

The last reply I posted was of the other user’s workaround, but if you can’t see it I can post it again

Update: I also just tried VRN’s method and it’s been working great for me so far, it’s much quicker than how I’d been doing it and it also works with EZbass if you happen to experience the same issue with it

Good that you’ve got a way to make it work
