At the risk of sounding like a newbie…I’m trying to update EZdrummer 2 to the latest version but I get a message that I need to uninstall my current version (EZdrummer 2.0) first. Won’t my song files be deleted with the software? BTW-I’m using EZD2 in ProTools 11 on a 64bit Windows machine…if it matters.
Thanks, in advance,
Knobs McGee
I’m having the same issue only i haven’t got that far..I bought metal machine and downloaded/installed it with no problem..I also bought made of metal but it said I need to get ez drummer 2 update first and I was worried that it would mess things up (I was definitely a newbie when I first got ez drummer2 and had some trouble getting started)…now I read your post and my nightmare has returned…Uninstall first!!!!????@$!#+×&….makes me want to just settle for metal machine and just let made of Metal just sit there….It’s kind of embarrassing but I’m a hell of a lot better at shredding that dealing with installing/uninstalling..etc…been using METAL! EZX for a while…why can’t things be EZ (pun intended)…….Let me know what you find out…..will we have to reinstall all ezx’s etc…that would suck..oh well if I have to i will…CAUSE EZ DRUMMER 2 I’S ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I’VE EVER BOUGHT (it’s awesome owning a drummer..lol)
I emailed Toontrack support and got a reply. No I shouldn’t have to remove my current version (v2.0.0) to install the update. Tried multiple times again tonight but got the same message. I sent support a screenshot of the message. We’ll see what they have to say.
