Hi,
Is there a feature in EzDrummer 2 to start to use brushes for any selected drum pattern? I mean that, if I have selected any drum pattern (e.g. EzDrummer 2 Modern/Vintage -> Blues -> Bluesy 118 BPM -> Verse 01), can I modify it to be played with brushes instead of original play style? If yes, how is it possible?
I have seen that brushes have been mentioned in several EzDrummer 2 extensions, like Vintage Rock EZX. I have it, but I am not able to find brushes in UI’s Play Style column when Vintage Rock EZX library has been selected. Does this mean that e.g. for Vintage Rock EZX there are some drum patterns that have been played with brushes, but the user is not able to modify any drum pattern to start to use brushes? If yes, does the “brushes” mean same thing for all EzDrummer 2 extensions (e.g. Jazz EZX)… in other words user isn’t able to modify drum patters to be played by brushes no matter what extensions he or she has purchased?
Best Regards,
Petri
If the EZX has brush sounds (Jazz EZX, Vintage Rock EZX, et al), you load the ‘Brushes’ kit from the ‘Kit Menu’ (see pic). Or, you can load individual brush kit pieces from the kit piece menu, in case you want a brushed snare and stick hi hat for example.
You can change the articulation being played from the Edit Play Style menu by right-clicking on the kit piece and selecting ‘Articulation’. If the kit piece you have loaded is a ‘brush’ kit piece, all the articulations available with that kit piece will show in the list. You can the select whichever you like and the MIDI will change to that articulation.
