    not a GarageBand user but,
a response on the Apple Discussion Forum mentioned that
you have to enable them in the GarageBand >
    Preferences > Audio/Midi tab:
Enable the checkmark “Enable Audio Units“.

Thanks very much for your response Scott, I appreciate it!  Unfortunately, that’s one of the fixes I’ve already tried.  I also made sure that EZDrummer is showing up in the Components folder.  EZDrummer is working fine as a stand-alone and I can control it with my Roland V-Drums, so I assume that the OS and the silicon aren’t the issue, unless it’s the interaction between those components and GB that isn’t jiving.

    EZdrummer version: 2.2.2
    Operating system: macOS Monterey (12)

If you have already tried rebooting, try deleting com.apple.audio.InfoHelper.plist from ~/Library/Preferences (a hidden folder which you can get to by using “Go to Folder…” in Finder’s Go menu).
