Ezdrummer 2 plugin for protools

I have EZdrummer1 and have installed Ezdrummer 2. I did not install EZdrummer 1. When I go to protools and call up the plugin, EZdrummer 1 loads ups,
It appears that the EZdrummer2 plugin did not replace the EZdrummer1 plugin in the “VstPluginsToontrack” folder. The file ezdrummer.dll is in that folder.
Should there be a ezdrummer2.dll file in that folder instead now?
What can I do to fix this?

What version of Pro Tools (32 or 64 bit) and Windows are you using? Pro Tools doesn’t use vst plug-ins, PT 10 and below uses RTAS (and some aax) and PT 11 uses aax exclusively. As I’m a Mac user not Windows I’m not 100% what folder they would be in but for AAX it may be something like: Program Files..Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/ (for AAX) and Program Files..Digidesign/DAE/Plug-ins. Some one with PT on Windows knowledge will be able to help you out more. On the Mac the plug-in names didn’t change, even though it’s been updated to EZDrummer 2, the plug-in names are EZdrummer.aaxplugin, (AAX) and EZDrummer.dpm (RTAS).

Hi Tnewt,

Please make sure that yo have installed both the 32 and 64 bit versions of EZdrummer 2. Then restart the computer. This should solve the issue.
