Several months ago, I purchased both EZDrummer2 and Reaper, installed both and all was well. Not sure when, but at some point EZD2 stopped working correctly from within Reaper. When I use the usual process to open a track, and choose EZD2 from the VSTI menu, the usual EZD2 window appears…but for some reason there’s no response from tapping the individual drums. Not just that the sound isn’t there, it’s like the program isn’t responding to some mouse clicks. I can use EZD2 as a standalone, and it works just fine. I’ve updated both, and the plugin path seems to be correct, since EZD2 can be called up from the FX function on Reaper tracks.
Any insight from anyone? Doesn’t seem like a configuration error, since it worked before and doesn’t now. And it does work….partially.
I’m using OSX 10.10.3, EZD 2.1.1, and Reaper 4.77
Hi,
I’m using EZdrummer 2.1.1 in Reaper 4.77 64-bit on my MBP with OS 10.10.3 and I’m not experiencing any problems.
Presuming you are using the 64-bit Reaper, are you sure you are loading the 64-bit version of the EZdrummer 2 plugin if you are loading the AU?
IIRC, Reaper can load and bridge 32-bit AU plugins which I imagine can cause problems like you are describing. If you are loading the VST version, you needn’t bother thinking about it. I may be wrong about the bridging AU thing, ’cause I have always had it disabled.
If you check the Reaper Preferences > Plug-ins, do you notice anything that looks odd/different?
