EZDrummer 2 isn’t showing up in PT First. I’ve read through a few topics here but didn’t find a solution.
I just purchased and installed EZD2 yesterday, and can’t locate its .aaxplugin file(s). The only .aaxplugin files on my system are under the old zip from the previous version of ezdrummer install. Where should these files be located? I also don’t see any info on them in the install status.
So, I can’t use EZDrummer2 inside of pro tools. The standalone app works fine. I’m on Windows 10. Pro Tools |First version 12.3.1
Hi,
please run the latest Update via the Product Manager and be sure to install the 64-bit update, that’s where the aaxplugin is included.

John

Hi John,
I’ve done that, twice now. I’d attached a screen shot, but apparently it didn’t upload.
Can you tell me the expected plugin path, so I can verify? When I open PT ezdrummer 2 is nowhere in sight.
From the Avid FAQ regarding Pro Tools First:
Q) Can I use any AAX plug-ins with Pro Tools | First?
A) Over 20 plug-ins are included with Pro Tools | First including the Xpand!2 Virtual Instrument. Pro Tools | First supports AAX Native 64 and AAX AudioSuite 64 plug-ins purchased from within the in-app Store. Check the description/specs in the Avid Marketplace to confirm if an iLok is required. Plug-in bundles which include ‘First’ in the name are specifically designed for use with Pro Tools | First and do not require an iLok. These plug-ins should download and automatically install, without needing to re-launch Pro Tools. Plug-ins purchased through the Avid Marketplace with your Avid Master Account will work with Pro Tools | First. Some plug-ins installed manually (outside of Marketplace) will work with Pro Tools | First, but most plug-ins will remain hidden and unavailable at launch. If you purchase plug-ins for Pro Tools | First then upgrade to Pro Tools, those plug-ins will be available as the AAX Native 64 format is exactly the same for Pro Tools | First and Pro Tools.

I have the same issue…and just re installed pro tools 2019.6.0 and your product manager page have downloaded and installed twice the EZ drum update 2.2?? and it says aax not installed, why? EZdrum works as stand alone, but does not show up in pro tools. Why do I have to now get Pro tools First?? Please advise
Addendum to above: Wrong (pic) file attachment. New one below
Hi Franz,
please download the 2.2.1 update again and run it but make sure to click on ‘Customize’ and that the AAX box is checked.
Please see my attached screen shot.

Thank you for quick reply, but I am not getting that option in customize. Do I need to uninstall, then reinstall ? I also don’t see in my download EZD 2.21 just 2
please advise..
thanks
Hi,
is the 2.2.1 update not visible in your account like in my attached screen shot?

When Downloaded, you click the small menu right next to the Download button and select ‘Install’.

Thank you again for quick reply. I did find it, but from toontrack site and reinstalled, not from product manager, which I also deleted and reinstalled from site. All working now and the aax is installed.
cheers!
