When dragging a tambourine (for example) from the EZD2 browser (running within Ableton), the clip automatically overwrites my original song tempo and sets Ableton to 120 bpm for the length of the clip only. “Follow Host” is clicked but doesn’t make any difference.
ex. Song set at 70bpm. Drag and drop a shaker. Shaker sets Ableton to 120bpm for duration of shaker clip. song continues to play – Ableton goes back to 70 bpm.
I have to go manually ‘delete automation” in Ableton to fix this. Any hints on how to fix this?
This is a bug we found recently, the MIDI files get the wrong BPM information stored (all get 120 bpm). This will be fixed in a future update.
I don’t use Ableton myself, but I saw that it should be optional to include the MIDI file’s BPM – a dialog should ask about this. If you don’t see the dialog, it may help to restore that dialog: https://www.ableton.com/answers/midi-import-options
