EZdrummer 2 (and Product Manager!) very slow on macOS Catalina (sound+graphics)

Hello everyone,

I just installed ezDrummer via the Product Manager and I find both the Product Manager and ezDrummer 2 very slow. Scrolling lags horribly (also in EZdrummer search and browser), the drums in ezDrummer actually don’t animate at all, it’s like 3 fps and they are played a second after the sound has been played…

The sounds lag a bit, 10ms with buffer size 64 which does not feel good at all. I use the internal sound card (Core Audio).

Anything else on my mac performs normal (not much on it anyways)

Hi,

Go to System Preferences > Displays > Color and select “sRGB IEC61966-2.1.” That should fix the slow graphics, I think.

This also worked for me! I can’t believe it! However, I’m a graphic designer and need to have my monitor calibrated. Any plans to eliminate the lag when using alternate color profiles?

Yes we may have just found a cure for this… But it needs testing, and updates may not come very soon for all products.
