I think it’s a real shame that I would spend 150 dollars for software and the software doesn’t authorize. I am stuck with the Product manager asking for a Computer-ID and name of computer when I am online with my security unlocked. And toontrack offers no phone support. I bought this program this afternoon because I needed it to complete a project today. I hate this company. I searched the internet to find out how to locate a computer ID number and someone said if I was on the internet I didn’t need it. Well I have been fighting this for 5 hours and I am frustrated to no end. I am 73 years old with a heart condition and I was purchasing this program to get a little enjoyment in my life. I hate this company and I wish I could figure out how to get my money back. It’s not worth the aggrevation.
Don’t get mad for me asking the obvious question, but did you install the Product Manager? I have installed all my purchased stuff on three different computers without a problem ever including de-authorizing and reauthorizing since it can only be active on to systems at once. I own keys and drums galore.

If you have, then I would look at both firewall and Internet protection software you are running as the probably issue.
A mentioned above, the Computer ID is a non issue when using the Toontrack Product Manager.

Couldn’t agree more. Nothing but trouble and the support doesn’t exist.
What authorization issues are you having?

As stated above if you haven’t already done so, install the product manager from Toontracks website. If you still need the computer name and ID
Go to your start menu and click on the windows icon
A pop up menu will appear and just above the power button is the settings icon
Click on that
next click on the word “about” on the bottom of the menu that appears on the left hand side of the screen and all your information will be on the screen
under “device specifications”
AFAIK or as far as I can remember,
the Computer ID was simply a nickname that you made up & provided (pre-Product Manager)
to help you to identify on which computer(s) you had product(s) authorized,
in the event that you were using products on more than one computer.

Not exactly like that. The Computer ID is an auto generated identification number that toontrack uses to identify the computer. If you use Product Manager, you won’t have to fiddle with these things – just install and press the authorize button, and go create some music 🙂

My bad. Like I said, it’s been quite a while since I’d authorized via the website.
My memory ain’t what it once was…

How did you get your third machine authorized? I am currently trying to get a third machine authorized, and it tells me all the slots are full and I must de-auth a device before authorizing a new one.

Your license allows for 2 simultaneous authorizations. If you need a 3rd machine, you’d need to purchase another license.

Thanked by: Marc5150Hi Marc 5150: As Scott says, only two can be “authorized” at the same time… nothing prevents you from performing a complete installation of the purchased assets in your account on a third or forth computer… you can then use the Product Manager to to de-authorized one machine and subsequently authorize another.
The example is that I have a system at the studio and another at home… (Windows 10) but I also have a MacBook I travel with. On occasion, I want the tools active on the Mac since I am not working on the desktops while composing. In that case, I take the ten minute to move the authorization between computers and it works great!

Thanked by: Marc5150Thanks for the response guys! I’m trying to avoid deauth/reauthorizing machines constantly. I have a similar setup with a desktop at the studio and laptop at home. But I’m hoping to get my drummer setup so he can work on pre-pro on his own machine. Which either means I have reauthorize every time so I dont mess him up, or I have have to reauthorize every time he works on something…
Marc5150 – I am a software engineer/consultant by day and in fairness to the publisher, your drummer is a different user all together and another licsensing as well.
You really should, and by agreement most likely are required, to purchase another license.
Rock on!

As per your user agreement, your license is for a single user and isn’t to be shared with someone. Your drummer should purchase his own license.
