Hey guys,
I was wondering if it was possible to swap some sounds between ezx expansion packs in ez drummer 3.
for example, i want to use the metal machine expansion pack but i’d like to just change the china or splash with one from my drums of destruction expansion pack.
Is that possible? Or are you just stuck with whatever comes in each expansion pack and can’t swap sounds between them?
thanks!
I asked the same and got the answer here https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/swapping-drums-kit-to-kit/

Thanked by: David MidsWhat he said ☝🏼.
The issue I find when doing this is the sample doesn’t sound right when imported to another kit under another expansion pack, for example a cymbal might be extremely loud to the point of distortion, and no matter how you adjust the levels it still seems to have that noise. Doesn’t happen with all of the expansion packs but it happens enough to point it out.
But yes you can Frankenstein any kit.
That being said I also notice the recording quality of the samples vary between core libraries and expansion packs, mostly in terms of volume. Seems the core samples sound better than some of the expansion kits.

Thanked by: David MidsThanks to both of you.it works! DrMr76 thanks for pointing out the increase in volume issue. In my case,i just had to lower it a bit and it blended in well.
