I’m setting up a hybrid EZD3/TD-17 brain kit and running into a weird issue.
In other hybrids I’ve made, if I want, say, a Roland 808 snare sound from the brain, I can just set the snare sound in EZD3 to “None” and that works. The EZD3 snare sound does not trigger, and I get just the TD-17 sound.
The toms work differently (maybe a bug?), however. If I set a tom sound to “None” in EZD3, the EZD3 tom sound still triggers when I hit the pad.
Bass drum works as expected … if I set it to “None” and hit my pedal, EZD3 remains silent.
Most strangely, if I set the ride cymbal to “None”, one of the crash cymbals sounds (and animates in the interface).
Follow up question: Toontrack doesn’t appear to monitor this forum. The software is pretty expensive, do they not offer any other support?
Cheers!
Once again going to answer my own question with a workaround.
The following worked for me:
Now when I hit the tom EZD3 does not voice, and I can assign a TD-17 sound to it.
Cheers!!
