Doing some cleanup on a WIN7 Pro PC. Had upgraded to EZD3 from EZD2, but left EZD2 on PC thinking it may have some use. Have not used EZD2 since the upgrade, so time to remove it as it appears to be taking up 3.3gb of HD space plus the EZD2 update at 299mb. What is concerning is EZD3 seems to use only 978mb which is nowhere close to the EZD2 3.3gb. If I remove EZD2 and its update, does it also remove files that might be used by EZD3 such as drum kits and MIDI packs? My thought is that the drum kits may make up a large part of the 3.3gb shown for EZD2 and the actual EZD2 program may be much smaller.
Probably could reinstall the packs, but would rather avoid that if I could. Just don’t want to remove any packs if they are linked to EZD2 in the uninstall process.
Hi,
the EZdrummer 3 entry in that list is smaller because it is the software and not the library. The EZD3 library is much bigger than that (≈15GB).
If you have the EZdrummer 2 Core Library as an entry in the Product Manager under ‘EZdrummer Line’, you can uninstall EZdrummer 2 and then reinstall the EZdrummer 2 Core Library to get the sounds and MIDI from it installed.
