EZD3 Core Library won’t install

The application itself seems to install OK. At the end prompts me to install the core library. When I do, I get 2 messages: “installer configuration file does not have the correct format” and “Installer configuration file could not be parsed”

I’ve tried deleting and downloading 2x now, same result.

M1 Macbook Pro running 12.3.1

Try restarting the Product Manager.

…because it will try to download the latest installer programs then. If that doesn’t help, it could be caused by antivirus software or internet provider blocking certain downloads, but you can then click Show Details, select Open in Finder from the menu to the right of the download and launch the installer from Finder.

That was exactly it. I got thinking of that before I saw your post. There was a PM update that needed to run. I should have known better :).

I’m having trouble copying the core library, have enough space on the hard drive and  MacBook but keeps on bombing out half way through! 🙁

 

I’ve tried closing, shutting down MacBook, changing source on the library contend.

 

Any ideas would be appreciate. Sick I can’t use it yet 🙁

I just wanted to note here that the resolution to this issue for myself was to just download it from the website while logged in. As long as I didn’t use the Toontrack Product Manager I was fine. Good luck everyone!

Hello,

I am trying to download the EZ drummer Core Library Update and I keep receiving this message:

One or more required files are missing. you’re library seems damaged. You will need to re-install the full product update before applying this update.

I have re-installed the EZ drummer software, but keep getting this message when trying to install the core library.

I cannot determine what version of EZ Drummer 3 I have. I purchased 2 days ago.

Hi Paul,

What it can say is “You will need to reinstall the full product before applying this update.” The product in this case means the EZdrummer 3 Core Library. Click “Show Details” and install version 1.0.0 of the core library, then the update.

Hi there this still seems to be problematic. I am using the ‘Toontrack Product Manager’ to go by-the-book.

I have installed 3.0.6 of the ‘EZ Drummer 3 – Upgrade’

I have ‘EZ Drummer 3 Core Library’ 1.0.0 installed afresh.

I have downloaded ‘sound library update for Windows’ 1.0.1.

Any ideas chaps??? At the moment it seems only 1 kit works due to this and the rest are silent.

I guess some antivirus program has removed EZX3_EZdrummer3_BrightRoom/Sounds/soundb1.obw or it has disappeared because of a faulty disk. Use “Verify/Download Again” on the full library download (version 1.0.0) – in the menu next to it – and install it again.

Different problem than the OP. Could you start a separate thread for this issue. How are you installing it? What problem solving have you done to this point. etc…
