Hi
I’m totally new to EZD3 and I am trying to set it up for live play via my Laptop and my TD12 kit.
I have a Yamaha Steinberg UR22 mkII connected and I have selected this in the Audio/Midi Settings. – see screenshot attached.
If i select the WASAPI audio device type I do see a long list of buffer sizes but all these give too much latency.
When I select the UR22 and try to change the Audio Buffer Settings in the Audio/Midi Setup, I only have 1 buffer size available.
Looking at the various instruction videos I should be seeing a long list of buffer sizes from 64 upwards but I cannot see these when I click on the up and down arrows at the right side of this field.
When I first started using EZD3 the buffer size was limited to 512 samples, however I recently had another go at this and clicked on the Reset device button and it chnged the Buffer Size to 128 samples. This is better but I still onlt see this buffer size and am unable to alter it in this window.
Any Ideas what’s going on here please?
my hardware is as follows
Lenovo Ideapad (circa 2015) Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.59 GHz
12GB ram (upgraded from 4GB, plus SSD to replace HDD
Steinberg UR22MKII
Using TD12 module
any help appreaciated thanks

Thanks for the advice.
I’ve updated the firmware and driver so should be up to date on both.
I think the driver was already the latest version.
Restarted the laptop and I’m now back to 512 samples buffer size

When you only have one buffer size to select, there should be a Control Panel button underneath to click on.

Thanked by: StickyTHi.
Apologies for the delay. Been having some fun and games with this plus getting 2 sons ready for Uni.
Not sure how but using a combination of the control panel and the reset the device button I got the latency down to 64 buffer size.
Was working fine up until tonight. When I go ito settings to select the audio device I get an error message when I try to select the
Yamaha Steinberg USB option. Error message says “error when trying to open audio device – Device could not be opened.”
I get the same error message when I try to open the Asio for generic device option. The others all work fine.
As a side note I have been trying to use the Cubase 13 AI software that came free with the Steinberg UR22 and I had some issues getting it to recognise the UR22.
Tonight I loaded Cubase before I loaded EZD and it did connect to the UR22.
I just closed Cubase and now EZD can now recognise and accept the Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO option and buffer size is back to 64, which is great.
However, I cannot now select the Yamaha SteinbergUSB ASIO in Cubase AI, says “device could not be found”
I’ve not used a DAW before so I’m still at the very early stages of learning how Cubase works.
so I’m guessing that I can’t select the UR22 with EZD and Cubase at the same time. Is this right?
EZD3 and cubase will not share the same driver at the same time.
The idea is to load EZD into Cubase as a plugin/Virtual Instrument. DO not use EZD as a standalone application.
