Logic doesn’t support dragging & dropping audio (or MIDI for that matter) onto plug-ins. You would have to export/bounce the audio to a file and use that.

I clicked and dragged an audio file from Logic onto my desktop and then clicked and dragged it from there into Bandmate.
    Minor inconvenience but it worked!

It works fine for me. Do you know IF this has been fixed?

It doesn’t work for me either in Logic Pro. I have to drag it to my Finder or Desktop and then drag it to EZDrummer.

It does work for me in Cubase though.

As I stated earlier, this is not supported in Logic as it has its own functionality within the application. You have to either export or bounce the audio to a file and the drag it into Bandmate.

so I use mixcraft. I cant seem to be able to drop a file into bandmate.

I tried saving as a wave. Then as midi.

    I’m a bit of a luddite so I’m sure it’s just me.

    Any suggestions guys?

    Hi schtinkhousen,

as stated above, not all (in fact very few) DAWs allow for media to be dragged from the host to a plug-in, while the opposite is no problem.

This means that you have to export the Audio (WAV) that you wish to use with the Bandmate from your DAW to a convenient place, e.g. the Desktop and drag from there to the Bandmate drop area. The same goes for any MIDI you would want to use from your DAW project with the EZD3 Bandmate.

If you use the same place for your exports and leave that Explorer/Finder window open if you wish to Bandmate several files, it’s a fairly quick workflow.

    BR,
    John
