Any news on this? We spend a lot of time investigating this thinking the problem was on our side before finding this thread.

Now it´s my turn to ask if there are any news on this?

I just bought the mac mini m4 and transferred all my files and projects from windows pc. Most virtual instruments work fine when crossing over, but EZdrummer 3 does not 🙁 I use Cubase 13.

I have read the workarounds here but this just means so much wasted time and having to go over all my projects on the windows pc and then transfer everything once again.

Unfortunately, no developments on this. Your only hope is to export the preset from each project that has customized drumkit settings (non-default) as mentioned in my prior workaround. The issue affects all daw’s that use VST. That means there is no problem when using Pro Tools across the two O.S. platforms since PT uses its own proprietary AAX format which doesn’t have the bug/flaw. I use a lot of DAW’s including Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and sometimes Cakewalk so I’ve just avoided all but Pro Tools whenever I can, just due to this bug/flaw.

Hopefully they won’t repeat this mistake when they come out with EZD4 but that doesn’t help those of us on EZD3. Even then, it will be a different plugin so it probably still won’t directly open existing projects done with EZD.

My recommendation, rather than spending the time to export/import pc to mac for everything all at once, it might be more efficient to just export/import each time you need to work on one of those older sessions. Guess it depends on how many projects you have and how long you’ll still have your PC rig all set up to be able to load the old projects for settings export.

That’s awesome, thanks to you folks for taking the time to put a solution in for it. Seems sensible reading the release notes, downloading!
