Today I’ve opened EZD2 (in standalone) to work on some tracks, only to find that my modern library has gone – all other kits / libraries are present and correct. I then tried to download the Sound Library Update from September 2014, to see if it would return, but the installer won’t run – an error message suggests that the library has been damaged, and that I should download EZD2 in full again. That isn’t a problem – it’s just inconvenient!
I have no idea what could have happened. Anyone else had this happen or have any suggestions why it occurred?
Many thanks,
Ryan
Actually no, it sounds very strange.
Which OS are you on?
Did you try to run the 2.1.1 update also?

Hi, John – I’m using Windows 7 (64 bit). The 2.1.1 update ran perfectly when I downloaded it after I noticed that the modern library was absent. It’s funny – I’ve checked my version in the menu and it confirms my Americana, Pop/Rock and Vintage libraries OK, but no Modern! Would you recommend a full reinstall of EZD2?
I recently purchased the EXD2 and everything is working fine but I had previously purchased Dirk V.’s Metal! and now I have lost my presets “Mark Lewis … etc” I was expecting to see them in the mixer browser but no luck. How do I get back the presets from my previously purchased product?
(just jumping on rmcg51’s similar problem)

Over the weekend I went ahead and attempted a new EZD2 download. It didn’t work – the installer was looking for what seems to be a launch file in my temp folder that either doesn’t exist or didn’t form part of the download. I wonder if I should try removing all EZD related software and download all my products again?
@rmcg51:
Yes, I can not see why you have ended up this way and the first and best advice is to download the latest Full Product install and run it.
@Thomas.Coolberth:
I am not sure I follow you, are you talking about the Metal! EZX? If you have any problems with it, please make sure you have run the 1.5.3 library update as well as the MIDI update. Alternatively re-install the full product first from a freshly downloaded archive.

@rmcg51:
missed that you replied.
It would indicate that you didn’t fully extract the ZIP archive by right-clicking it and ‘Extract all…’ but merely browsed the ZIP.

John – you’re absolutely right (my stupid mistake – in my defence it was late at night….!) EZD2 and all available updates reinstalled with no problem and working perfectly, so thank you again. Still can’t think of what might have happened but hopefully it was a one-off.
