EZD2 MIDI Drop Zone: How do I change the length of a beat?

I have a really easy question. How can I change the length of a beat/loop when I drag it into the MIDI drop zone? I hover my cursor over the right hand side of the loop to extend it out or shrink it as I would in a DAW, but can’t change the length.
