Hi everyone,
I’ve had this issue for a long-time and always worked around it but I need to figure this out. So, when I customize a preset in EZD2 and save it, EZD2 will retain it as expected as long as the midi groove it is playing is in the EZD2 midi window. However, if I have the midi (all of it or even one note) in my DAW (Studio One 3 Pro) as soon as it hits that first note in the DAW it immediately resets back to the default preset. So for example, if I am in the modern kit 80s preset and I have tweaked it and saved it as my preset, when that first midi note is hit it will reset to the modern kit default setting. So, I essentially can’t have any midi in the DAW at this point. This has occurred for as long as I can remember and I have lived with it.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Hi
It sounds like the MIDI is sending a program change command to EZdrummer 2. MIDI can contain these messages, so that presets are changed via a MIDI command from the MIDI block/file.
You can make EZdrummer 2 not listen to these messages.
Go to Settings/MIDI Events in the main menu (top right of EZdrummer 2).
Turn off “Allow MIDI Program Change”.
