Hi,
I purchased EZDrummer 2 a few years ago and I’ve been trying to install it on my computer (Windows 10) without success. I keep getting error 1320: file path is too long.
I obviously extracted all the files from the zip and enabled long path in the registry but it still won’t work. Any idea how I could fix this please?
Are you downloading at installing from Product Manager?
Mac Studio M1 Max, RAM 64 GB, 1TB Drive, OSX 12.x/13.x and Windows 10 (VM)
DAW: Studio One Pro (always up to date)
DTX Express III (Extreme triggers), Nektar LX88
OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8
Black Lion Sparrow Mk2 A/D, FMR-RNP-RNC, MIDI Xpress 128, BM5A, KRK VXT4, Equator D5
2020 Macbook Pro 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Audio(mobile rig)
I downloaded from the website, I also downloaded PM but it seemed there were just the same files. Are the installers different?
Can you try moving the installer (zip file) extracting it to your desktop and see if that works?

I fixed the previous error by renaming the Toontrack folder, then pressing “retry”. But now I have a new error:
I launched the installer with administrator rights. I just don’t know what to do, there seems to be so many problems…
Is D: your regular system drive or are you doing a custom installation?

It is indeed a custom installation and that’s why I also tried to install it on C:/ but same error. Is EZD2 supposed to be compatible with Windows 10?
Thanks for taking the time to help me btw.
Hi,
did you or did you not run the Installer from the Product Manager?
If not, please do.
Also please check that you indeed have write and read rights to the ‘ToontrackEZdrummer’ folder on your C: drive.

I am having the same issue, been searching all over the internet looking for an answer to this but no joy.
I’ve tried all of “their fixes”?? and good grief. I was eagerly awaiting for EZD 2 to arrive today and.. well extremely disappointed at the moment.
I have EZD 2.0.2 however, just below that version on the Toontrack Product Manager there’s another download that says EZDrummer 2.1.8 so I don’t know what that means… I am operating on Windows 10.
Surely there must be a way for me to get this product that I’ve purchased to install in my PC.. I bought this product in good faith thinking I might be able to work with it.. but no, I’ve spent hours looking for an answer , and in the Toontracks Forum there’s John whos been thanked 313 times asking if the Toontrack Program Manager application has been used… of course, its the obvious thing to do.
PLEASE PLEASE can someone help… I know it might be to do with windows but I have hundreds of plugins FX/Instruments and this is the first time since 1995 when I started using recording software that I’ve had this problem/Issue.
Kind Regards
Maurice Ruiz
Hi Modesto2,
the reason we ask if the Product Manager has been used to download and install products is that surprisingly often users mistake the Product Manager application with the Product page in their account on the web site, which most often means they download ZIP files and try to browse them and execute installers from inside the archive.
Windows is indeed supported, so your OS is not the culprit here.
I am not entirely sure I understand the problem though, since you write that you have version 2.0.2 installed?
So the EZdrummer 2 Core is installed? Can you download and run the 2.1.8 installer in the Product Manager?
If you get error messages, can you post screen shots and explain at which stage they appear?

John

Same error.
Using TPM(product manager). Doesn’t matter what the paths are called. Exact same error as above.
