Hello. Today I tried to install EZd1 on a PC I’m using temporarily (Win 7, 32-bit, AMD Athlon 64×2 Dual-core @ 2.31 GHz, 4GB RAM). Once the install has occurred for ten seconds or so, an error message appears (Error 1309: Error reading from file: C:…………HelpMenuEZCore.pdf. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.), which is odd considering this is the same installer (TT106_WIN_140) I used to load EZdrummer onto my old PC. After reading related threads here in the Forum, I’ve tried to install from the _1.4.0 full installer ONLY, and have gotthen the same result over and over again, with no prior versions of EZd1 on the drive. Is there a fix for this that I can pursue, SHORT OF reinstalling Win 7 again? If not, I’m afraid that I’ll have to forego using this & possiblly my SD2 copy as well.for the foreseeable future. ..
Thank you in advance for your help!!
Raymond R.
An error 1309 is caused by attempting to run the installer before the contents of the download have been un-zipped.
To avoid this error please right click the downloaded file and select “Extract All,”
then choose a destination for the files to be extracted to.
Finally, please run the now extracted installer.
Error 1309 can also relate to the length of the path to the files,
which means you will need to run the installer from higher up in the directory tree, i.e move/uncompress the archive to the top of your C: drive.
Please also remember to check for updates once you have run the main installer.
