Hi there, I hope this is the correct forum to post this thread.
I’ve been using EZ drummer for about a year now. When I first got it I was running it with Garageband and later upgraded my DAW to Logic Pro. However, in Logic I have never been able to select the “multi-channel” output option for my EZD instrument track. The only output option available to me on that track is “stereo”.
Has anyone else had this problem?
EZD was installed on my mac before Logic, so I was unsure if reinstalling EZD would help? I haven’t tried this yet because I have made a number of my own presets and wasnt sure whether reinstalling would delete these.
I’m very keen to get the multi-channel option working as I’d like to try using EZmix on my drum kick drum and snare sounds. If anyone can provide any suggestions I’d be very grateful.
(For info – I’m running an iMac, OSX 10.6, Logic Pro 9, and EZD).
Thanks,
Iain
I would first of all download the latest update for EZdrummer, and all any other updates available from your user account… running the latest Apple OS while disregarding any updates of your applications is not going to help 🙂
… if that does not help, try to rescan your Audio units from within Logic. If that still does not help it may well be an interference with GarageBand as if I recall this correctly if this is the application that creates the ‘caching’ of your plugins then you may be restricted to what it ‘understands’ (and it does not support multi out from AU instruments).
Anyway, please try first and foremost the couple of steps mentioned herein.
Rogue Marechal - Toontrack
Configuration Manager
Awesome!! That worked – multi-out is now set up.
Thanks so much for your help and fast response! It is much appreciated.
Regards,
Iain
