EZD crashing Sonar 8 when previewing clips

I’m using EZD in sonar 8. when i try previewing clips Sonar freezes and locks up and i have to close sonar and restart. i’m running EZD 1.3.1 and using win7 64bit

any help?

Are you using 64-bit Sonar? Try updating to the latest version of EZdrummer (1.3.3).

yes i am using sonar 64 bit. i just updated to the newest version on EZD and it’s still not working well previewing and playing a track in sonar at the same time. if i start play back of a track in sonar and then play a preview drum track in EZD they’ll play together for about 8 seconds or so before dropping out and locking up sonar.

Are you using the 32-bit version of EZD bridged to 64-bit Sonar? Does the EZD interface read 1.3.3 (64-bit) as the version number?

i’m not entirely sure what you mean by the first part but on the EZD interface it reads 1.3.3 (64 bit). the problem is intermittent. i can get it to happen if i play tracks in sonar and have EZD preview a drum loop at the same time, about 1 out of 4 tries.

I can report this to the programmers. I haven’t seen any other reports of issues previewing MIDI with Sonar.

Are you using EZdrummer in Toontrack solo next to Sonar or directly inside Sonar?

What sound card have you got and are the drivers up-tp-date and validated for Windows 7 64-bit? Same question for Sonar, is it version 8.5 or above?

EZD is running directly inside sonar.

i’m using:
focusrite scarlett 18i20 with the newest drivers for win7 all versions
sonar producer 8.3.1

intel i5 2500k cpu 3.70GHZ, 8GB DDR ram
