In EZD 2, the “Browser” tab: When auditioning a midi part from, say “Intro” of any song, while that audio is playing and looping, one was able to then select, say “Verse”, and the audio would keep playing and looping until one selected a midi part in “Verse”.
This was real nice for auditioning midi parts and setting up a song as one could select to “play” exactly where they wanted the new part from “Verse” to start. It was very helpful to get a feel for perhaps using only 4 counts from a 16 count part, and selecting play right on count 5 of the playing part, etc.
In EZD 3, I go to perform the same function in the new improved browser, ie the “Grooves” tab, I select a midi part in “Intro”, and it loops, but the moment I select “Verse” the playback of the midi part in “Intro” stops, whereas in EZD 2 it would continue to play until a new midi part was actually selected to play. Now it stops playback the moment I select a new sub-category, ie Chorus, Verse, etc.
Sorry for the long butchered description, I hope it wasn’t too painful. It feels like I’m overlooking how to restore or at least enable this functionality in the Grooves tab as it existed in EZD 2 under the Browser tab. I have searched to no avail all the settings in EZD 3, the web, and am at a loss. I’m guessing that functionality is no longer in EZD 3 (which would be an absolute shame), or perhaps there’s a way to enable this?
If it’s been discussed previously, my apologies and please kindly point me in that direction, otherwise I’d be grateful for any suggestions or solutions offered!
Thanks,
hfam
