Can you send us an MP3 of the ezbass and a copy of the choppy MIDI? Are the choppy notes the same every time? Do you get choppy notes in your own MIDI files?

Problem its that the bas from ezbass vst some play the bas in midi file, dont play all tones every time and the bas sound stranges! The orginal bas sound some play other from the keyboard or soundcard in computer have not that problem. Not the midi file have that problem. The onely problem are EZbass vst in mixcraft. EZdrummer vst have not any problem. in mixcraft. I cant record anything just now, to tired in the moment, but will try later to night.

could the MIDI be in the wrong octave?

    Ketil Ervik

I fixed this octave problem after setting the Lower play note to E

Then there’s only one problem left, the bass stops playing here and there on the midi file throughout the melody!

Sorry but Brad is correct on this one. Your notes are not being played in the correct octave in EZBass. It is irregardless of whatever instrument, which you don’t state,  you are using to compare bass notes in your DAW. EZBass is not the issue here.

Not to mention that if you are getting some sort of choppy performance, your MIDI notes are most likely trampling on a bunch of key switches that are making the bass guitar all whacked out.

It also has nothing to do with comparing how EZ Drummer is working. It does raise the question if you are using the same MIDI file to compare.

Anyway, the bass guitar plays terribly in certain places in the midi file, so using this for a vst in mixcraft is not recommended. I’ll probably look for something more stable in this area. But thanks for all the help.

Before abandoning all hope entirely, have you at least tried transposing the MIDI file up an octave to see if it helps?

I have use the E on ezbass and that working ok, but the didnt help bassgitar to play more stabel. Its dificult to understand but sometimes play bass hard and ugly in the melody.

If i use mixcraft sound i dont have this problem.

Have you imported your MIDI into EZBass to see where it lies in the grid editor?

if you have not done any of the things we have recommended, how can we help you? Trying to tell us that it doesn’t work for a specific DAW is pointless if you’re not willing to figure out what is going on.

You just referred to there being something wrong with the midi file, there isn’t. Why ezbass plays hard and ugly a few times through a midi file in mixcraft, I don’t know.

Let’s put this to rest. Post your EZBass project with MIDI in it.

I found the error. Mixcraft is not a good studio for midi files. When I louded the midi file into Reaper everything was solved.

Now I just need a vst plugin for guitar, piano and more! For the drums I use ezdrummer and for the bass ezbass. But just in case I haven’t found out where the path to the korg M1 vst is! because it doesn’t automatically get louder after scanning in Reaper. Just have to search the internet for it.

Does ez keys have any good piano sound packs?
