I wanted to tag onto my last post. I don’t expect immediate replies to problems, issues, how to do this or that in EZBass. In a previous life, I spent 20 + years in software development. I can tell you that in my environment, customer support did not leave an issue out there for 4 or more days without a response- pretty poor support. I  sent a direct post to ‘customer support’  supposedly generated a ticket  number but have not had any reply from the Vendor-Toontracks.

As a last note, I spent $149.00 for  EZBass to add to my EZKeys and Studio One 5 set-up as stated in the earlier post. The only reason I bought EZBass was so I could use it to generate bass lines from what I compose in EZKeys, I play keys, guitar and bass among other instruments, so I can write and play bass lines. I didn’t need to buy EZBass. EZBass was going to make my job easier and be a no brainer.

As of right now, I cannot use EZBass and no sign of  customer support.

I don’t have Studio One so I can’t reply with any user certainty. One thing you can try is to reset to the default scale from the View tab in standalone.

Also, what version number shows on the EZbass interface? Is there an update available from Product Manager? And can you provide some system details?

Scott, thank you for the response. I apologize for the tone of my previous post – my frustration level got the best of me. Enough said.

When I purchased EZBass the downloaded and installed version was 1.0.0 and the upgrade was downloaded and installed with version 1.0.5.

That says I should be current.

I’ve tried what you suggested in standalone mode and that did not work. I’ve tried DPI scaling, using the VIEW tab to set to default, minimize and tried to manipulate SIZE and SCALE on the tab. Nothing seems to work.

Have other users reported this issue or have I stumbled on an “undocumented feature”. My system is Windows 10. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

This is a long shot but I had a problem with a plugin showing up too big once and it was because I had forgotten that I had changed my Windows screen resolution..  I changed it back to default. Reinstalled the plugin and that fixed the issue.

That was on Windows 7 though, so don’t know if Windows 10 would be the same.

Is EZbass looking as it should when you run it as a standalone, but too large when you run it in Studio One?

Can you take a screenshot of what it looks like when in Studio One, and post it here?

Thanks for the info. I could look into Windows settings as you suggest. However, I also have EZKeys and have no problem with scaling either standalone or plug-in. Appreciate the comments.

Henrik, thank you for the reply. I’ve had this problem with scaling since EZBass was installed. Before responding to your comments I ran things again. There was a Windows update applied to my computer last night. I now can scale the EZBass window in plug-in mode. I did nothing to change any parameters!

Appears to be working at the moment. If that changes, I’ll post. If not, thanks for your help.

I fixed this. In case anyone else using Windows 10 wants to try it:

    Settings > System > Display > Scale & Layout

Change the % to anything besides what it currently is. I was at 150% which works fine for everything but Studio One using EZ Bass on a large monitor. I changed it to 100% and while the text on the display is smaller, the EZ Bass Gui adjusted and is in the right proportion to the rest of the Studio One screen. It isn’t just the same huge screen but smaller because of the %. It actually reverts EZ Bass back to the right size in the window.

When I open EZbass as a plugin the windows is too big, cutting off the bottom and top. When it is opened in stand alone it is smaller and fine. I have pro tools 12 Mac desktop running Mojave 10.14.6. Can the EZBass window be resized?

I suddenly experienced the same problem. I use Studio One 5. EZBass worked fine the first month – now suddenly it fills the screen and it doesn’t show any funcions or menus what so ever; I can’t switch between basses or other settings. Even stranger – in the songs I started working on before this happend – it still  works!

Hello Did somebody get solution? I use multi  screens. One is laptop. I changed text size from 150 to 100. Now I can see full screen. But very small. Also I use 32 inch monitor but this still cut bottom. I was very surprised because this problem happen long time ago, and still they did not fix this. Or maybe I miss something.

VST3 scaling issues on Windows were fixed in version 1.1.5. If the window is too large so that you can’t access the menus, try using the standalone to reset scale and size in all hosts (in Settings > General).
