I was looking forward to the arrival of EZbass and ordered it early the first day. I have been a long time user of EZdrummer and EZkeys and presumed this program would be the same or very similar. My only interest in this program was to be able to play my own bass riffs using a midi keyboard, recording them, and output them to wav format for import into my DAW, just like I do with EZdrummer. First day it did not work at all. Second day it worked for eight measures then froze. Third day same thing. I sent a support request the first day and after four (4) days have not received a reply. A couple of techs tried to help me on this forum.
This evening for whatever reason the program seemed to be working, so I quickly recorded eight measures of a bass track that I needed for a new single. But I was unable to find a way to output a wav or mp3 file like you can with EZdrummer. I read the manual (always the last thing I try) and apparently there is no way to output a wav or mp3 file. You can output a midi file, and I did, but when you play it back, it is not a bass but a piano.
I filed another support request asking for a refund. Maybe I should have read the specs more carefully, but based on my experience with EZdrummer, I really thought this program would be my new bass player. In my (not so) humble opinion every midi driven instrument program that includes recording should have the ability to output audio in wav and mp3 formats.
We know that the save as audio feature is wanted by users, and we have it on our priority list of things to do!
I’m sorry to hear about the crashes of the software. We are focused on fixing those kinds of bugs at this stage, and that is one of the reasons save as audio hasn’t been implemented yet. Have you and the support team sorted out what the bug is yet?

Henrik, thank for your answer.
I am interested in The “Save as audio” feature. In fact, I can’t believe that something as basic as this is not included in the product.
It is essential for many producers. Please integrate it as soon as possible! Thanks!
Hello Henrik,
I bought EZbass today and couldn’t understand why there wasn’t a save to audio feature. I would also like to know when the program will have this feature as this is also how I work with audio recording… Can you also tell me do I have to use it in my DAW in order to do this? I am currently using Acid Pro 10 in Windows 10 and was looking forward to using EZBass as a bass program for my recordings… would I also be able to use the program in Audacity?
Thanks
graeme
Holy Sh*t… I never would have imagined I would pay for something to make music in that I couldn’t get music out of. What is the point of EZbass if you can’t use the music you make it in? Just some glorified playground?… So yeah, please make sure that is a priority for the next release to add the BOUNCE TO AUDIO feature. That’s kind of, you know, important… especially when you are, you know, making music, and that music needs a bass part added to it. That’s kind of the reason why we would use EZbass to, you know, create those bass parts and then add them to our Logic/Pro Tools project. And don’t get me started on why EZbass isn’t just a plugin. I’ll blow a gasket…
Hi guys,
meanwhile you can save your EZbass Project in the standalone and then open it in the EZbass plugin on a track in any host that supports VST, AU or AAX.
Once opened in your host, you can use the hosts Bounce/Render to Audio function if you do not wish to have the plugin running.

John

Thanked by: Haus.MediaHi Guys.. Sorry to bunt in here, im only making a suggestion to help out. …. (& sorry if this has been mention before?).. But Im new here on the Forum.. ”Hi Everyone”.. I just bought today EZBass too.. But maybe everyone might be able to use my guide, as Toontrack EZBass has only just been released, so people must understand, that its a new software.. So it will have its bugs & quirks & nick nacks for some.. for now (Patience will be needed, but understand the fustration)… But as for rendering to WAV or MP3in a audio channel.. I can only give everyone a tip (& probably you you will say, ”Yeah i know that”.. Or say, ”I was just gonna say that”… lol).. But i use Ableton Live 10 Suite as my main DAW.. ( I would imagine that other DAWS DO THE SAME, BUT IN A DIFFERENT WAY.. But the theory is still the same way in the idea).. Now then, when ever i get high CPU from a VST instrument, for example, & after using 40 channels( Plus) in a track, what i do is create an audio track, then send the Midi instrument to Audio to the channel i’ve created.. Then i can record the Midi channel, to WAV file.. This may help people until the Toontrack Devs create this in there software.. I hope this helps?..
Agree, use a daw to export to audio.
Also if you look at the big budget gaming industry they will never ever have an initial release with the full set of features and without bugs, otherwise they will never be released.
So in effect we are testers of the product and why not. It makes perfect sense. You have th a right audience and the product owner is listening with what’s needed to improve there products.
You have a number of options here:
1. Don’t buy it
2. Wait until version 1.7.9 etc comes out.
3. Buy hardware instead.
4. Keep the software understing that over time it will be th a product you expected
The ask is to understand what you’re buying and understand the software industry.
I accept that I’m purchasing an initial release of a software app knowing there are bugs and knowing there’ll be fixes released.
Hope this eases your pain.
Kind regards
Max.

Thanked by: Haus.MediaIn Reaper, you can record the audio a vst is outputting onto another track if you need to, just by sending the audio from the vst track to it. If your daw has a freeze function, this will render vst outputs as audio to save cpu load, so you could probably do it this way also..
Just another +1 for the “Export MIDI to Audio” feature for the standalone. I do this with SD3 all the time and spent a long time trying to figure out how to do it in EZ Bass before I searched here in the forum. I was pretty shocked it wasn’t in there.
The software has also been SUPER buggy for me. Crashes Logic, hangs, restarts my computer, app goes white, etc.
I understand new software needs the kinks worked out though, so I’ll be patient 🙂

EZbass version: 1.0.3
Operating system: macOS Sierra (10.12)
Thanks for the patience! Please report any bugs you find, it’s especially helpful if you know how reproduce them, or can attach a crash dump file! 🙂

Thanked by: nmoneyJohn,
I take back everything I said. It IS a stand alone plugin for Logic Pro. I was too foolish to do a restart so that it would show up under plugins. I apologize if I seemed anal in my post, it was merely out of frustration made worse by my stupidity. EZbass is by far the best bass plugin I’ve ever used.

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomI hope the output of Audio is just a free upgrade. I don’t like working with MIDI in my tracking. I always convert the samples to audio.
Export Song Track to Audio is included in the latest update v 1.0.4!
