EZBass Cakewalk crashing

My concern on this day 2 of the year 2022 :

I start a project on Cakewalk
I record several guitar tracks in WAV file.
I insert EZbass VST from Toontrack, and it crashes, so much so that I have to restart my PC to have my “Roland Quad Capture” reset.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi,

Yes there have been a couple of reports of the VST3 crashing in Cakewalk, however we haven’t been able to reproduce it. You could check if version 1.1.2 works better, otherwise a solution is to use the VST2 instead of the VST3. You can make VST2s available through the Cakewalk preferences.

The dmp file gave me an idea what might be the issue… Could you tell me what kind of storage devices the you have connected to the computer, hard drives etc., and what brands? In particular, do you have any drives for removable media, for example any SD card reader? If so, is there anything in them?

All my Cakewalk projects are stored on a TOSHIBA USB 3.0 1 TO external hard drive
